I'm having the same issue. I'm on a PC, both vista and xp and when trying to call my sister's apple she is unable to see me or hear me on the XP and only hear me on the vista. But I can talk to other PC users.

Any time an oovoo window pops up (a new friend request, ooVoo news page, etc), the program freezes on my Vista laptop. I have to uninstall and re-install the program to get it to work. Is there any fix for this?

I have the very same question as Vic (just downloaded and redownloaded the latest version, checked firewall and still not getting video calls to work after reredownloading as per your suggestion).
