Disable sound option for video calls

This is the 2nd time I'm suggesting this. Please make an option in settings for video calls to totally disable speakers or microphone. Instead of having to open a video call and then mute them. It causes bugging issues with other programs. It also changes window's settings each time which is highly annoying.

    Hi Kaiyah,

It depends on your system, and how those other programs have automatic control of your sound card & mic. Which in turn would conflict with other likewise program that require access to those devices. My advice would be to turn OFF audio & mic automatic control just set them up manually then save it.

We have had our settings that way for over a year, it doesn't make a difference.

It seem's that you haven't fully understand my post above. Whatever IM program you might be using, if it has automatic mic or speaker audio control (meaning if it controls the audio levels for the mic and speakers automatically). If possible you can, disable that feature and set the levels below mid-way manually. Putting the levels too high to max, won't help at all. There must be a program on your system that has taken control of the audio. So everytime you adjust the the windows mixer controls it will revert back to whatever IM has taken control of the audio.

I didn't come here to argue whether or not I can prove I'm right.

I just want to know if my suggestion is going to be put in or do we have to find a new program to use?

I can't say for sure whether or not your suggested idea to disable the default audio on feature. I'm sorry if I couldn't be more help in this matter.

Is there anything else I can do besides post here? I suggested the same thing 9 months ago and nothing has been done. I really like this program it's perfect in all other ways. I hate to find something else to use.
