Its November now and you still havent found a fix?

i can see why more people use skype and other communication programs and also when i installed ooVoo i made SURE i uncheck the dwld ooVoo toolbar but it somehow still installed it, got another explaination?

 

Yes Dave it is OoVoo problem. I also get it after ooVoo update. Instead of denying the problem with your software you better issue a fix and allow users to download it.

It is ourtageous that you distribute nasty spyware with your toolbar. And the toolbar itself is useless anyway,

We believe that we have a fix for this Firefox redirect problem.

Please make sure that you have the ooVoo toolbar installed and sign into Firefox. Within 24 hours the issue should be fixed.

Let me know if there are any problems with this.

I have tried your solution mentioned with going to about:config but still it does not work????

 

any other ways te help me get rid of this problem?

Hi,

Please try the following:

Open Firefox and wait for about 5 minutes, then close all open Firefox windows. Open Firefox again and this problem should not occur.

Hey everybody, theres supposedly an official fix for this but if your still having this problem then just follow these steps that i found helpful -

1. Open firefox and the oovoo toolbar by right clicking at the top of the browser and checking off oovoo toolbar

2. click the tiny arrow to the right of the ooVoo button then click toolbar options

3. Uncheck enable DNS/404 redirection

 

and boom there you have it problem fixed
